Multiple OS in VPS
In case you choose one of our virtual private server packages, you'll have as many as three different Operating Systems to pick from - CentOS, Debian and Ubuntu. They are all Linux releases and we offer them rather than offering just one OS, because the apps that you may wish to run on the server may have specific requirements about the software environment. Each one of the three has some pros with regard to the available plans that you can eventually install, but what is common between them is the fact that they are very secure and dependable and have vast communities that support them. The hosting Control Panel alternatives for the VPS accounts depend on your OS choice, so as to give you more flexibility. In case you order the virtual server with one OS and you need a different one later, our tech support team can easily reinstall the VPS with the new one in a matter of minutes. We also offer the option to maintain the Operating System on your server up-to-date on a weekly basis.
Multiple OS in Dedicated Hosting
We offer three Operating Systems with our dedicated server solutions - CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian. They're all different Linux distributions and we offer them not only because they're absolutely free so they won't increase the low price of your new web hosting server, but also because they are exceptionally stable and secure. Each one of them is supported by a large community of developers, so you'll be given the option to choose from a large number software packages that you may install on your server if the application that you intend to work with has certain requirements. The Operating System will also determine what hosting Control Panel you can use because the Control Panels that we offer are compatible with particular OSs only and since we would like to provide you with as much flexibility as possible, we offer multiple OSs and multiple Control Panels. In case you choose a server with a certain OS, we could change it upon request in case it turns out that you'll need a different one. We can also keep your OS updated on a weekly basis as part of our optional Managed Services upgrade.
