A catch-all mailbox is one that gathers all the emails sent to nonexistent email addresses. For example, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone mistypes it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Just one single mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and in this way you will never miss emails because the other side has an out-of-date email address or has made a spelling error. The disadvantage of using a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving a lot of unsolicited email messages, but this problem can be resolved using anti-spam protection software. It’s also crucial to keep in mind that a mailbox with an active catch-all feature cannot forward incoming messages to a third-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

In case you host a domain on our cloud web hosting platform and you have a shared hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all functionality for any email mailbox that you create under the domain. The Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section includes quite a lot of features, but it is exceptionally user-friendly, so configuring a catch-all mailbox requires only one single click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you have created will be enumerated in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll just need to click on the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the concrete address. Our system will inform you if there is already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain name or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or select another mailbox. Disabling the catch-all feature is just as easy and takes one more click on the exact same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all option can be enabled effortlessly in case you have a semi-dedicated server account with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve created using the domain names hosted in the account will be listed in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll see a small icon conveniently situated right next to each of them. With only a single click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choice on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with this option already enabled and there isn't active email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable the feature using the contextual menu that will surface. If any of the prerequisites for creating a catch-all mailbox is not matched, our system will let you know, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
